Samy's nephew going for MIC Youth's top post

KUALA LUMPUR – A nephew of MIC president S Samy Vellu is interested to lead the party’s Youth movement, which has been without a head since June last year.
MIC Youth council member S P Muthu Veloo told reporters Saturday: “We have come to a point where a change is inevitable and changes have to be made to adapt to the need and aspirations of the community.”
He said he has informed his uncle of his intention and Samy Vellu had not stopped him. “I take it as an implied blessing to contest.”
MIC Youth affairs are now handled by a coordinator. T Mohan was appointed to the post by the party president after former Kota Raja MP S A Vigneswaran quit last year over an alleged move to force him to step down as Youth chief.- Malaysian Mirror
